BSC takes the lead among the research institutes of social sciences and humanities in Latvia in the attraction of EU funding

According to the overview provided by the National Contact point of the European research and innovation programme „Horizon 2020”, the Baltic Studies Centre (BSC) is the most successful research institute in the field of social sciences and humanities in Latvia in the attraction of EU project funding, and it comes 11th among all the 77 research institutes in the country. BSC has been involved in 15 projects under the EU Framework programmes (FP5, FP6, FP7) and “Horizon 2020”. The highest number of 29 projects is accounted for by the Institute of Mathematics and Computer science of the University of Latvia, while the Institute of Organic Synthesis, which has been assessed as the best research institute in Latvia, has altogether attracted 15 projects. Presently BSC is involved in two “Horizon 2020” projects: SUFISA and SALSA. The full overview of the National Contact point in Latvian can be found here.
